How long does a typical SaaS MVP take to build?

HighAppler builds most focused SaaS MVPs in 8 to 16 weeks of active build time, depending on scope, integrations and the complexity of your domain logic. We build the core features first, then iterate on feedback from real users. Larger platforms with custom infrastructure or compliance requirements take longer; their timeline is set in the written proposal that follows scoping.

HighAppler replies within one business day (Mon-Fri, 10:00-19:00 Bulgarian time) and proposes a free 30-minute discovery call. Most projects then go through a two-week scoping phase that ends in a written proposal with milestones, team, technology choices and a fixed timeline, and you are under no obligation to continue after it.

Contracts, Payment and IP

Who owns the source code and IP that HighAppler writes?

The source code and IP that HighAppler writes for you are yours on final payment, with no licence fee and no lock-in. HighAppler keeps its general-purpose libraries, and third-party components keep their own licences, which are listed at handover. Nothing ties you to HighAppler as your supplier after that.

Terms & Conditions

Who is the contract with, and which law applies?

HighAppler contracts through HIGH APPLER LTD („ХАЙ АПЛЪР“ ЕООД), a company registered in Shumen, Bulgaria, with UIC 208230304 and VAT number BG208230304. Each project is defined by a statement of work (SOW) or a signed agreement. The terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, and any dispute goes to the competent Bulgarian courts.

What are HighAppler's payment terms?

HighAppler invoices in US dollars or euros, and invoices are payable within 30 days unless your statement of work says otherwise. Payments can be milestone-based, hourly or a fixed fee, as agreed, and late payments accrue statutory interest under Bulgarian law. Senior engineers are billed at $25-$49 per hour, and projects start at $1,000.

Can we end an engagement with HighAppler?

HighAppler agreements can be ended by either party with 30 days' written notice, and you pay for the work done up to the end date. Either party can also end the agreement immediately for breach of contract or non-payment. The code and IP delivered by then follow the usual rule: they are yours on final payment.

Does HighAppler sign NDAs and handle compliance requirements?

HighAppler signs NDAs as a standard part of every engagement, and mutual NDAs before any deeper technical conversation, so you can share sensitive context early. For regulated work it designs secure architectures for sensitive data with audit-ready delivery practices, provides preparation support for SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS and ISO 27001 audits and helps with GDPR; certification is issued by your independent auditor.

Who will work on our project?

HighAppler staffs your project from the engineers and QA specialists on its Team page and brings in any other partner only with your written consent. The line-up follows your technologies: Java and Spring Boot backend, Angular frontend, native iOS and Android, and manual and automated QA. Your single point of contact is usually a senior tech lead.

How does HighAppler communicate during a project?

HighAppler works in English, or in Bulgarian with clients in Bulgaria, and inside your tools: Slack or Microsoft Teams for chat, Jira or Linear for tracking and GitHub or GitLab for code review. Your tech lead joins the standups and runs sprint planning and reviews, and work runs in two-week sprints with a demo of working software at the end of each.

Can HighAppler add developers to our existing team?

HighAppler places 1 to 3 senior developers inside your existing team, chosen for your stack. They adopt your tools and processes, join your daily standups and take part in your code reviews, and you can add or remove individual developers as your needs change. Dedicated developers are billed at $25-$49 per hour.

Does HighAppler, based in Bulgaria, work with US clients?

HighAppler is based in Shumen, Bulgaria, and works with clients internationally: mainly US companies, as well as businesses in Bulgaria and elsewhere in Europe. We work Monday to Friday, 10:00-19:00 Bulgarian time (03:00-12:00 US Eastern), which gives about 3 hours of live overlap with a 9-to-5 US Eastern day. EU data residency is available when you need it.

Can HighAppler make our product SOC 2 or HIPAA compliant?

HighAppler prepares you for SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS and ISO 27001 audits, but certification or attestation is issued by your independent auditor, not by HighAppler. Preparation support covers gap analyses against the standard, implementing the controls it requires and documenting the evidence your auditor will ask for. HighAppler also helps with GDPR.

Does HighAppler sign a GDPR data processing agreement?

HighAppler signs a GDPR data processing agreement on request and can host your system in EU regions. As a company registered in Bulgaria, it works under EU data protection law, its engineering team is based in the European Union, and EU data residency is available for any project that needs it.

What support does HighAppler provide after launch?

HighAppler can keep running your system after launch, with 24/7 monitoring and automated alerting, daily encrypted backups with restore drills, security patches and dependency upgrades, and a written status report every month. If you prefer to run it yourself, the handover package with architecture diagrams, runbooks and deployment guides lets your own team take over.
