How We Start a New Project

Most engagements begin with a short discovery call where we learn about your business goals, current technology stack, and the problem you are trying to solve. From there, we usually run a focused two-week scoping phase that produces a written proposal - including milestones, team composition, technology choices, and a fixed timeline. You leave the scoping phase with enough detail to make a confident go or no-go decision, and there is no obligation to continue beyond it. Whether you are launching a new SaaS product, modernizing a legacy system, or extending your in-house team with senior engineers, the first conversation is free and tailored to your situation.

What to Expect After You Reach Out

We reply within one business day (Mon-Fri, 10:00-19:00 Bulgarian time). From there, the first steps are the same for every project:

1. Our reply shares an initial perspective when your message has enough context, and proposes times for a 30-minute discovery call.
2. On the call we focus on your timeline, budget range, technical constraints and decision process, not on selling.
3. Within a week of the call we usually send a written summary, recommended next steps and how we would staff the engagement.

You can use that document to evaluate us alongside other partners or take it to your internal stakeholders.

Where We Work

HighAppler is registered in Shumen, Bulgaria, and the entire engineering team is based in the European Union. Most of our clients are US B2B companies; we also work with businesses in Bulgaria and with clients in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and the Nordics. We work Monday to Friday, 10:00-19:00 Bulgarian time (03:00-12:00 US Eastern), which gives about 3 hours of live overlap with a 9-to-5 US Eastern day. With European clients we share a full working day. For longer-term engagements we are happy to travel for kickoff workshops, quarterly reviews, or on-site discovery sessions.

How to Prepare for the First Conversation

You do not need a finished specification or a polished pitch deck to talk to us. The most productive first conversations cover four short topics:

• The business problem you are trying to solve.
• The rough timeline you are working against.
• Technical constraints we should know about, such as existing systems, compliance requirements or data residency.
• How the decision will be made on your end.

If you have a written brief, a Figma file, a roadmap or even a back-of-the-envelope sketch, please bring it; if you have none of those yet, a 30-minute discovery call is often the fastest way to see whether a structured engagement makes sense, and we will not push you toward a proposal if the timing or fit is not right. We sign mutual NDAs by default before any deeper technical conversation.

Engagement Models We Offer

HighAppler works in three models: a full team for a new product or platform, 1 to 3 dedicated senior developers inside your team, or dedicated QA. Each can be a fixed price for well-scoped work or time and materials for evolving builds, with senior engineers at $25-$49 per hour.
